自從第一次聽到Wicked之後，就一直對Wicked念念不忘。
這齣於2004年大放異彩的百老匯音樂劇，講述的是綠野仙蹤前一章的故事。原來好女巫Glinda跟壞女巫Elphaba之前在同一間巫師學校唸書，兩個人是同班同學。在學校生活裡，Elphaba因為擁有一身碧綠的皮膚而受到同學排擠，不過Elphaba不以為意。起先Glinda也是排擠Elphaba的一員，Elphaba也不喜歡Glinda的大小姐脾氣。不過，時間流逝，漸漸的兩個人消除了對彼此的成見，變成了好朋友。
然而，生活總是困難且充滿危險的，充滿正義之心的Elphaba因為看不慣Oz王對動物的非法不人道行徑，決定挺身出來對抗。Glinda雖然知道Oz王的不齒行為，但卻選擇了站在Oz王那一邊，伺機而動奪取Oz王的政權。
就這樣，兩個人走上了不同的道路。
我要介紹的這首歌：For Good，其實是Wicked裡最令人動容的女聲對唱。Glinda擊敗了Elphaba，Elphaba發現自己雖有一身優異的巫師資質，卻仍然無法成功完成他想做的事情(I'm limited)，在一切莫須有的罪名枷鎖不停的套在Elphaba身上，她感到疲倦且無力，對著Glinda唱出這首For Good，決定隨Glinda處置。然而，Glinda也娓娓唱出： But I know I'm who I am today Because I knew you。
就這樣，這首詞曲皆美麗的For Good，每一次聽都會讓我紅了眼眶！底下附上Idina Menzel和Kristin Chenoweth的Rehearsal及現場剪輯版本！當然，我blog裡的歌曲就是這兩位原唱的錄音！
順帶一提，Idina Menzel是1996 Rent的OBC(Maureen)，近10年的百老匯生涯，終於在2004年因Wicked裡的Elphaba一角拿到了Tony Awards的最佳女主角！同年，飾演Glinda的Kristin Chenoweth也因同一齣劇獲得提名。這真的是一齣讓人感動的音樂劇唷！推薦給大家！
